NEW CLASSES
have been added to the 2015-2016 schedule!! We are excited to be able to offer these new classes to our students!
Acro
Teaches flexibility, balance, strength,
muscle control, discipline and concentration. Learn hand stands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, backbends,
walkovers, balance and contortion tricks. Acro is open to ages 8 and up.
TUESDAYS FROM 7:45-8:45 IN STUDIO B
Pom/Dance Team
This class
specializes in the dance form specific to high school spirit teams. Dancers will learn pom motions, jumps,
terminology, cheers and routines specifically designed to help prepare for
middle school or high school dance teams. This class is open to 6th graders and up.
WEDNESDAYS FROM 6:00-7:00 IN STUDIO A (This class will begin when Studio C is open)
Contemporary
Class includes interpretive, improvisational,
and story-telling with abstract movement and choreography.This style includes ballet, jazz, and modern
technique. This class is open to 6th graders and up.
THURSDAYS FROM 7:15-8:15 IN STUDIO C
Strength and Stretch
This class
focuses on flexibility of all limbs of the body. Dancers will learn how to lengthen their
legs, arms and feet, creating beautiful body lines. It will help increase the dancers turnout,
flexibility, range of motion, and strength of the muscles. This class is offered to ages 8 and up.
WEDNESDAYS 5:00-6:00 IN STUDIO A (This class will begin when Studio C is open)
Jr. Jazz Technique Prep
Dancers will
learn fundamental jazz steps and basic vocabulary through across the floor
exercises and simple combinations.Focus
will be on body placement, proper technique, stretching and development of jazz
skills. This class is open to 2nd graders and up.
