Tap: “Little Red Riding hood”

Costume:          1. Black, red and white dress. 2. White tutu. 3. Red Cape. 4. Apron. 5. Red ribbon.

Pin white tutu underneath skirt at hips. Attach white apron, pin to dress and tie in the back in a bow.  Pin red hood/cape into their hair right at the top of the head so you still see some hair.  (like image) Red ribbon is for the corset part of the dress.  Lace up like a tennis shoe and tie a bow.  Secure everything ahead of time so they can just slip everything on.

Tights:              Suntan tights

Shoes:              Black tap shoes. Replace bows with black elastic.  Jazz taps are acceptable.

**White bobby socks:  You will need to get these.

Hair:                Low pony tail with a part.  You won’t see their hair much under the hood/cape

Ballet: “How to Believe”

Costume:           Leotard/Dress with attached tutu and flower belt.  Tie belt in a pretty bow in the back and pin to secure.

Tights:               Pink tights

Shoes:                Pink Ballet shoes – please make sure they are clean and that there are no strings hanging.  Tie the strings in a knot and cut the ends.

Hair:                  High center bun.

Flower headpiece           Place headpiece on left side of the bun with the fanned part pointing upwards.

Class Picture Times:
Beginner I - Tuesday, March 27th @ 4:10 pm
Beginner II - Tuesday, March 27th @ 6:00 pm

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.  Arrive in regular DANCE ATTIRE to take the class picture first.  Individual photos will be taken following your class picture.  All photos will be taken at The Dance Warehouse.  Hair for all pictures can be styled differently than how it will be worn on Revue day.

* Please label ALL pieces of your child’s costume.  Including tights and shoes!

* NO underwear.  NO jewelry.  NO nail polish.

* Hairnets must be used for those who will wear a bun for the revue.  A bun hairstyle requires multiple bobby pins and hair gel/spray to maintain a tidy bun.  For girls with shorter hair a ‘donut’ may be used to create a bun.  Please watch this video for ways to make a good bun.

* Makeup should be applied heavily due to lighting. Browns, plums, and pinks look best from stage.

* Please make sure that bows on ballet shoes are tucked in and that there are NO bows on your child’s tap shoes (jazz tap shoestrings acceptable).  If they are patent leather tap shoes-the strings must be changed to black elastic.

* Spray Paint for shoes is available at the studio.  The color is "Sand" if you are spraying shoes tan.  The paint is $7.00 per can and can be shared by a few students.  Black paint is also available.

* You may contact this class’s costume contact mom (at the top of this page) with any questions you have regarding your child’s costume.
